Two (2) full years in our program are required to prepare a child to receive each of the Sacraments (except for Baptism). Regular participation at weekend Mass is required to receive these Sacraments, and each child will be asked to sign a weekly Commitment Book located in the front of the Church (to be explained at the parent meetings).


The Sacrament of Baptism
The Sacrament of Baptism requires extra classes of preparation for children ages 5 and up. Consult the Director for these requirements.


The Sacrament of Reconciliation
Children in grade 2 or above who are beginning their second year of faith formation are eligible to begin immediate preparation for these sacraments. Also, children who attend Catholic School should register for these classes. Our sacramental preparation is a family centered program.  Please join us as your child begins the sacramental journey towards First Reconciliation!

*All sessions are followed by 10:30am Mass*
 
A parent must accompany the candidate to each of the sessions. Attendance at ALL sessions is required   

There is a $15.00 fee for the First Reconciliation book that will be collected at this time.

Please bring a copy of your child’s baptismal certificate if they were not baptized at St. John the Baptist.
